Barcelona-based The Raw Society is coming to Austin, Texas to present Issue One of their limited edition magazine, exploring diverse stories such as Istanbul’s brain drain, memories from a World War II survivor, the life of a drag queen in Oklahoma, and more.

The Society is an international community made up of over 150 photographers spread globally and united by a love for the photographic image.

The Society has put together a Magazine Launch and Fundraiser in Austin, Texas on February 4-5 at The Loren Hotel. This will be an opportunity to bring together people from all over the world to celebrate the first issue of the magazine and share the potential stories for Issue 2 of the magazine. Issue 2 will be collaborative with readers having the option to select stories they want to see included in the next editions. Photographers and non-photographers are welcome. Join us for drinks and a welcome event on Feb. 4, followed by free brunch and gin tasting on Feb. 5. Meet and greet famous photographers such as Ed Kashi, Jorge Delgado-Urena, Christelle Enquist, Micah Green, and more.
