The Latino Comedy Project: “GENTRIF*CKED”

Presented by Latino Comedy Project at George Washington Carver Museum - Boyd Vance Theater

Returning for TWO WEEKENDS ONLY, Emmy-nominated sketch troupe The Latino Comedy Project’s “Gentrif*cked” hilariously attacks the causes and consequences of gentrification in Austin and communities across America.

Praising “Gentrif*cked” in their annual “Best Of Austin” issue, “The Austin Chronicle” said, “‘Gentrif*cked’ shines a much-needed comic light on what rampant development and clueless Anglo hipsterism have wrought in historically Hispanic neighborhoods. Cat cafes, mondo condominiums, relentless cultural bleaching and all its ramifications – all of it, darkly sliced to laugh-inducing ribbons as the Latino Comedy Project makes their sketch-powered stand against the madness.”

Through their trademark mix of live sketches, music and original videos, the Latino Comedy Project (LCP) provides all the hard answers and leaves no one unscathed in “Gentrif*cked”.
