A film for the whole family, Gauru is a story set in the hinterland of Rajasthan,India. It’s a story of a shepherd community during the time of drought. The film’s protagonist is a young shepherd boy wanting to do all he can to fulfill his grandma’s last wish, even if it means travelling across the desert with her, his little sister & his herd of sheep! It’s full of life lessons and cultural references…a lovely film about the love of/for family! With a beautiful setting and vibrant music the film is a must see for the whole family – specially if grandparents can see it with their grandkids!
