The Hideout Theatre proudly presents Bah Humbug! An Improvised Dickensian Holiday Romp.
The award-winning improvisers at the Hideout Theatre will construct an enchanting, hilarious, and completely improvised play set in Victorian England as seen through the eyes of master writer and storyteller Charles Dickens. Slimy criminals, wide-eyed orphans, saucy boot-blackers, the pompous portly rich and benevolent benefactors navigate their way through the corrupt London social strata. Will good triumph over evil? Can the spirit of Christmas be found in even the darkest moments? Will Mister Bill Barrows eat all the figgy pudding again? Exchange coin for entertainment and ye will soon see!

We are *thrilled* to be doing in person shows again, and judging from our audiences, you’re glad we are too.
While we’re slowly returning to a sense of normalcy, health is still our overriding concern.
Austin-Travis County’s COVID-19 Community Level is currently LOW.
Because of that, our current guidelines are:
Masks are encouraged.
Food and drink are allowed while seated in the theater.
Tickets must be purchased in advance or on your smartphone—no physical tickets will be issued at the box office.
If in the future the community level changes to MEDIUM or HIGH our guidelines will change and be updated on this page.
