Austin’s 1970s were a musical milestone with the creation of what came to be known as “progressive country.” It took the best of the Texas songwriters (Jerry Jeff Walker, Rusty Wier, Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and more), put great rock musicians behind them and let ‘er rip!
