?Play It Forward! Instrument Drive
Beyond the Grade, Rock N Roll Rentals, Texas Music Water and Kona Ice team up to provide youth
musicians with instruments.
Austin, TX – Rock N Roll Rentals will be hosting the nonprofit Beyond the Grade’s (BTG) instrument donation drive
on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Texas Music Water will be donating water to participants that
drop by. The instrument drive will be used to create an instrument lending library for at-risk youth.  BTG students
currently have access to instruments only during their lessons.  An instrument library will provide them with the
opportunity to practice at home and learn to care for an instrument.
Donations can be dropped off to either Rock N Roll Rentals Austin location at 1420 W. Oltorf or 8335 Burnet Rd.
BTG is looking for donations of the following instruments in working condition: Guitars, Keyboards, Drums,
Electronic Drums, Amps, Mics and Stands. Kona Ice Austin will be stopping by the event to offer shaved ice.
BTG’s mission is to keep music alive in Austin schools by providing after-school music programs to at-risk students
at no cost.  Their staff of professional educators and musicians are dedicated to giving students training and
experience through rock band clubs, group guitar and drum lessons, live gigs and more.  Since BTG’s involvement in
in Austin area schools, their staff have seen first-hand the positive impact on students’ lives, families and
communities.

Rock N Roll Rentals has been a cornerstone in the Austin music community for over 25 years. They provide
musicians of all ages and levels low cost access to high quality sound and lighting equipment, great recording gear
and musical instruments.
Texas Music Water donates to organizations that work to meet the needs of musicians, from basic health care and
psychological services to music education and providing instruments to children.
Kona Ice Austin continues to team up a variety of non-profits for fundraising efforts for Austin community
education events.
