Geoff Marslett (LOVES HER GUN, MARS), an AFS Grant-supported filmmaker, takes his love of wildly diverse animation styles to a whole new level with his new metaphysical sci-fi western QUANTUM COWBOYS. Here he combines stop-motion, old-school rotoscope, cutting edge 3D CGI, acrylic paint and more with performances from an absolute dream cast. Kiowa Gordon and John Way play the space-time cowboys who, in the course of their wanderings encounter a whole range of wild characters played by: David Arquette, Frank Mosley, Gary Farmer, Alex Cox, the late Anna Karina; musicians Neko Case, John Doe and Howe Gelb (who also composed the score); and the Lily Gladstone in the lead role of Linde.
