Now entering its 12th season, there isn’t any other program in the country quite like Austin’s own SUMMER STOCK AUSTIN. From performing to designing and building sets, these high school and college students from across the country learn about every part of a professional theatre company–all the while working side-by-side with local and national theatre professionals. The musical CARNIVAL is really two musicals: a heart-warming love story between two lonely souls, and an exciting circus spectacular. A huge cast of talented singers, dancers and circus performers tell the story of a young French orphan who runs away to join the circus. The original production received acclaim for its magic, simplicity and compassion, and it continues to grace stages and bring smiles to audiences worldwide.
