The Blue Starlite is thrilled to announce the return of Drag at the Drive-in for 2016! Last year’s series brought some of the best drag-themed movies and most talented drag performers to the Blue. We are proud to present our first Drag at the Drive-in feature of 2016…

To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar – After tying in a prestigious drag competition, two queens (Patrick Swayze and Wesley Snipes) travel across the country with a young drag princess (John Leguizamo) to compete for a national title. Along the way, their car breaks down and they must spend several days in a small town, where they get to know all of the townspeople. This hilarious and heart-felt film was nominated for 2 Golden Globe Awards (for Swayze and Leguizamo’s performances) and a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding Film.

The theme for this Drag at the Drive-in will be a Strawberry Social. We’ll have strawberry snacks and candy on hand for your purchasing pleasure. Wear your best and brightest red clothing! If you don’t have any, just a dash of vibrant red lipstick will do.
