Part of the West Austin Studio Tour, this fabulous event benefitting a community radio station for public health in Africa will feature music fromThe Djembabes, Guy Forsyth and Bamako Airlines. Food from Wasota African Cuisine, drinks, video & a silent auction including: Lunch with Issa,Aralyn Hughes movie – Love in the 60’s and her book – Kid Me Not, A Massage by Massage Symmetry by Romon Smith, Project Mastana “Backroads to Bollywood” CDs, gift certificates from Water 2 Wine Austin-North Central & Adelbert’s Brewery and a live painting performance by Issa Nyaphaga – renowned artist and activist from Cameroon, Africa. Austin Airwaves longtime ‘radio activist’ Jim Ellinger will be speaking along with the Film makers from Issue TV who are documenting the Radio Taboo project – $40 door, $30 advance donation.
