Annual dance production, Edge of Grace, will take place outdoors at Blue Lapis Light Studio October 13-17 and 20-24. This performance features dancers interacting on multi-level scaffolding structure with both sound and lighting design.
Sally Jacques, founder of Blue Lapis Light, creates site-specific aerial dance works that speak to social, political and spiritual dilemmas. Recognized for her international efforts against human rights abuse, environmental endangerment, homelessness, and racism, her activist views inform her artistic journey.
This upcoming performance, Edge of Grace, will take place outside on our 3- acre property in south Austin October 13-17 and 20-24, and features dancers interacting on multi-level scaffolding structure alongside both lighting and sound design.
Edge of Grace is about exploring spaces between edges, seeking a way to move in and around challenging surfaces. Similar to life, when unexpected and unfamiliar events occur, we find ways to navigate through. This performance is inspired by how grace manifests in human lives.
Please note, masks are required for unvaccinated guests, but depending on city guidance, may be required for all guests.
