A Midsummer Night’s Dream

William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is an audience favorite, full of fairies and magic and tricks and love.  Come join the EmilyAnn Theatre and our Shakespeare Under the Stars students for a beautiful and enchanting adventure into fairy land.  The show runs August 4th – 13th, with no performance on Sunday, the 7th, every night at 8:15pm.

Shakespeare Under the Stars is the nation’s only program of its kind, with the students working for four weeks Mondays-Fridays, 9am-5pm on morning rehearsals of the production, building their own set and constructing their own costumes, all under the instruction of hired professionals.  The students will also participate in professional workshops every week in stage combat, stage makeup, characterization, and Shakespeare’s language and scansion.  The final two weeks of the program consist of only evening performances of the full length Shakespeare production the students have helped build and produce, as well.
