Spring Stampede

Spring Stampede

Presented by Pioneer Farms at Pioneer Farms

Costumed characters will show children how to carry water in buckets from the creek, how to clean rugs by beating them in the yard and how to do other chores on the Texas frontier.

Longhorn cattle roam the Blackland Prairie once again. Log cabins lead off a tour of new homes in Old Texas.

Our special Spring Stampede Days on Friday-Sunday, March 18-20, will make visitors feel like they’re living in “Little House on the Prairie,” the quintessential story of pioneer life.

The activities will run from 10-5 each day, celebrating the upcoming first Day of Spring.

On Friday, the last day of Spring Break, it will be a great way for families to stretch their legs in 1800s Texas with games and crafts at our historic home sites. Admission that one day only will be $3 a person, to celebrate the 149th birthday of Laura Ingalls Wilder, the author of ”Little House.”

On Saturday and Sunday, March 19-20, a variety of historical activities, exhibits, hayrides, music in our dance hall, horseback rides and more will be offered from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Regular admission will be charged on Saturday and Sunday. Admission coupons can be used both days.
