Elements of Expression is the first phase of an art exchange between Clamp Light Studios, an art collective based in San Antonio, Texas and ICOSA collective of Austin. Selected by Raasin Mcintosh, the exhibitionintroduces Austin to the 9 members of Clamp Light.  In turn, Clamp Light will be presenting the work of ICOSA collective’s 20 members in San Antonio in August of 2021. The first exhibition of this two-city artexchange is comprised of a diverse range of works from: Xavier Gilmore, Taylor Galvan, Sarah Fox, Sara Corley Martinez, Raul Rene Gonzalez, Randy Guthmiller, Jacqueline Ramirez, Cassie Gnehm, Ursula Zavala. Whileclose to 100 miles separate the two artist collectives, the common goal to support their fellow artists andshare their community’s creative output brings them together.

About the Curator
Raasin Mcintosh, CEO & Creative Director of Raasin in the Sun Nonprofit. She is a visionary, creative, and Track andField Olympian, whose career spans nearly a decade specializing in community arts initiatives in cross-disciplinarycollaborative work. She attended the University of Texas at Austin where she earned a BA in Communications. Shehas extensive experience in managing, producing, facilitating and coordinating, mural arts, public arts, creativeplacemaking, restorations, and community engagement initiatives. In 2015 she founded Raasin in the Sun, a non-Profit Organization, to pursue a lifelong passion to serve the community through the arts and environmentalinitiatives. Lead by a humanitarian drive to change the world for the better, her daily mantra motivates the mission”Rise and Shine” and “Be the Light Today for a Brighter Tomorrow.”
