MMMF Benefit Concert & Livestream: Tribute to Stevie Wonder with Devin G & the Wonder Vault

Presented by Music Moves Mountains Foundation at East Austin Piano Shop

Join the Music Moves Mountains Foundation as we celebrate the music of Stevie Wonder and raise funds for music therapy, music education and community outreach!  Paying tribute will be MMMF sponsored artist Devin Gutierrez and his band Devin G and the Wonder Vault featuring D-Madness, Rodney Hyder, Jimmy Vinson, Marcus Cardwell (Texas School for the Blind alumni), plus special guests Andy Tenberg (Tomar & the FCs), Sheree Smith, James Robinson, Jeff Lofton, Henri Herbert, Julianna Sheffield, and Georgia Bramhall.  Opening will be The Merc30s, an under 18 band comprised of previous MMMF recipients, playing alongside their mentors.

MMMF’s annual benefit concert will look a little different this year in order to keep everyone safe. We’ll be offering a limited live audience experience in tandem with a public livestream from the new East Austin Piano Shop sound stage. The intimate listening room will flow into an open-air parking lot with plenty of space for social distancing. Reserved tables are available in advance; a $20 tax-deductible donation is suggested for general admission; doors at 7pm; masks required; all ages; silent auction (including an original painting of Stevie Wonder by artist/musician Tim Kerr); themed trivia prizes; complimentary drinks or BYOB; free parking; ADA accessible.

Devin Gutierrez is a 22-year-old powerhouse singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and vocal teacher based in Austin, Texas.  He is on the Autism Spectrum and was born with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia which left him blind.  Music has always been his passion and lifeline, and he cites Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Donny Hathaway, and Ray Charles among some of his influences.  Devin recently gained the attention of Lou Adler, Carole King and James Taylor.

The Music Moves Mountains Foundation is a perpetual series of projects, programs, and services utilizing the scientifically proven powers of music to change and improve the quality of lives. The Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that uses tax-deductible donations to facilitate its goal in making music therapy, music education, and community outreach more accessible to those in need. MMMF’s work is a vital resource that supports both the music community and our most vulnerable populations.  Visit www.musicmovesmountains.org
