Founded in 2010, Austin Sketch Fest is an annual comedy jubilee celebrating satire, sketch comedy, standup, art, and counterculture that features the best comedians from Austin and the wilderness beyond.
Austin Sketch Fest is here to showcase the best scripted comedy from Austin and beyond. Austin Sketch Fest is entirely online this year, and excited to feature national headliners Meg Stalter, Atsuko Okatsuka, Kevin Pollak’s sketch-prov podcast Alchemy This, and more! These headliners and other comedians from around the country will perform sketch shows, script readings, podcasts, storytelling, weird conceptual game shows, and more. Bonus: Austin Film Festival is partnering to host a comedy short selection featuring local filmmakers.
Austin Sketch Fest occurs online on ColdTowne TV’s Twitch stream April 22nd through 25th. Viewing is free and open to the public, no tickets needed, but donations to the festival and its producing company, ColdTowne Theater (one of many Austin treasures affected by the pandemic this year) are much appreciated. The project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department and the Austin Creative Alliance.
The stream is FREE for all to view, although donations to our parent theater, ColdTowne Theater, are welcome and encouraged.
