Women in Jazz Association, Inc. is pushing through covid-19 quarantine with a Pamela Hart & Ryan D. Howard Live Stream House Concert Series. Since July, Pamela and Ryan have been providing soothing music for the soul to give Austin residents and anyone one else interested in jazz a mental break from the worry and stress of covid-19. We are determined to keep jazz alive, and this live stream series is yet another means. Pamela Hart is highly regarded as one of Austin, Texas’ finest vocalist. She is noted by Austin Women’s Magazine as “Austin’s First Lady of Jazz.” Pamela and her husband Kevin Hart produced (and she has performed in) the semi-annual Women in Jazz Concert Series—the greatest events for female jazz musicians in Texas—1994 through 2019. Pamela is a member of the Texas Touring Roster and was inducted in the Austin Jazz Society Hall of Fame in 2018. Sheltered but not stifled during covid-19, she has been live streaming her weekly Sunday House Concert Series on Facebook since March 26, 2020. Ryan D. Howard is simply an awesome Keyboardist, Organist, Pianist and Vocalist. His style is very distinct with a unique blend of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, R&B, Funk, Neo Soul, Soul, Smooth Jazz and Gospel. This combination lends itself very well to his keyboard style adapts perfectly to classic artists from Michael McDonald of the Doobie Brothersto Earth Wind and Fire. He is an integral part of the Kansas City music scene as well as the Austin music scene. With his energetic stage performances and authentic sound. Ryan is one of the best if not the best Pianist, Organist, Keyboardist in the Midwest and now in Texas.
