22 Artists From Across the Country to Participate in Austin Dance Festival

AUSTIN, TX – Austin Dance Festival will present the work of 22 modern dance companies and independent choreographers on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at AustinVentures Studio Theater in Austin.

The line-up includes Austin-based artists ARCOS Dance, Ariel Dance Theatre, Ellen Bartel Dance Collective and Kathy Dunn Hamrick Dance Company, among others. Several Texas-based companies including Bruce Woods Dance Project, Dark Circles Contemporary Dance Company and Houston MET will perform. The festival will also present Kira Blazek (California), Margot Gelber (New York), and Trent Williams (Florida) among other artists from across the country.

The festival features three concerts with uniquely different programming in one day so that audiences can see the work of 22 small, mid-size, regional and/or experimental dance companies and experience the breadth of aesthetic visions, creative methods and innovative ideas for which they are recognized. Between performances, guests can relax in reception areas, participate in artist interviews or move in the video booth.
