Celebrate the holidays with Tapestry Dance Company and The Soul to Sole Jazz Quartet in a live Austin-tatious jazz tap celebration of the holidays!

The concert is founded on OF MICE AND MUSIC: A Jazz Tap Nutcracker, Tapestry’s traditional holiday classic performed to a jazzed-up version of the original Tchaikovsky score and beloved jazz classics. This season, due to COVID restrictions and the safety of our artists and fans, the company will present much of this delightfully entertaining musical score in a relaxed club format.  The dancers, dressed for the club will be joined by theatre and spoken word artist Zell Miller III and vocalist Cathie Sheridan as well as some of Austin’s best jazz musicians.

Tapestry Artistic Director and National Tap Hall of Famer, Acia Gray will keep her traditional Ms. Bon Marche role (based on the character of Drosselmeyer of Nutcracker fame) and serve as the dance diva MC throughout.

An elegant and relaxed musical reminder of a time with tacky Christmas sweater visitors, tap dancing mice, a tuxedoed Rat King and some crazy toys improvising with candy and falling snow, A Jazz Tap Holiday will get you tapping your feet, swingin’ in rhythm and warm your heart.
