It’s time for La Peña’s annual fundraising event, Toma Mi Corazon! La Peña invites everyone to “Take My Heart” once again.  For the twenty-fourth year, wooden hearts are handed out to artists, children, dignitaries, celebrities, and anyone else who wants one.  They’re free to decorate, paint, carve or whatever form of artistic expression you wish. Once they are returned, the hearts are sold in a silent auction. Proceeds from their sale go towards supporting La Peña’s arts and educational programming.

The hearts will be put up for sale in a silent auction at the La Peña art gallery located at 227 Congress Avenue. There will be a preview party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. (with Las Manitas food!) and the silent auction from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Music will be provided by Sister Sister Trio. It’s going to be a Festival of Love!
