#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that takes place every year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Here in Austin, we have our own unique way of celebrating #GivingTuesday — taking action for good! An action for good can be anything from hosting a food or clothing drive, making a sustaining gift to a local nonprofit, volunteering (virtually!) with co-workers or family, fostering a pet, or spreading the word about giving on social media using #ILiveHereIGiveHere. In 2019, Austin families, individuals, nonprofits, and businesses collectively took over 8.4 million actions for good during #GivingTuesday. Please join the generosity movement on December 1st, 2020 for #GivingTuesday!

Now more than ever, our community needs you. As we face unprecedented challenges and increased need, we also have an opportunity to shape the future of our community when we give to the causes that are important to us. While we practice physical distancing, we can still stand together to support our local nonprofit sector.
