The Life and Art of Pio Pulido looks at an artist with deep ties in Mexico and the United States. After  studies at Mexico’s art schools, Pio is submersed in the Mexican art scene of 1960’s. In the 1980’s he moves to Austin, Texas.  The documentary follows his career as he becomes a co-founder of the first major art museum in downtown Austin, including the influence of the museum on Austin art and culture. It also presents his life as a painter and his abstract expressionist style, which is influenced by his experiences in both countries.
