Alt Girl Cinema, an alternative pop-up film series in Austin, is hosting its third screening! This month’s screening will feature Women of Color Experimental Shorts with Director Marcela Moran in attendance. This pop-up showcase will be at La Pena, a community art space for local and emerging artists.

Event Details:
Screening starts at 7:30 pm, but get there early to socialize and meet other Alt Girl cinema lovers. We’ll provide snacks and drinks!

#AltGirlCinema brings an alternative cinematic representation of women’s lives to Austin through monthly screenings. Alt Girl deviates from the mainstream, screening contemporary art films across a plethora of genres, including horror, sci-fi, documentary, experimental, and more. Alt Girl stresses the importance of complex characters giving a multidimensional view of womanhood in today’s society. Alt Girl Cinema is hosted by the Women’s Community Center of Central Texas.
