The City of Austin, along with the Agni Foundation for the Arts, has hosted Austin Bollywood Day since Austin Mayor Steve Adler issued a proclamation in 2013. #ATXBollywoodDay
With thousands of Bollywood enthusiasts participating, Bollywood Day is a festival that showcases South Asian culture, food, clothing, music, vendors, and one massive Bollywood dance number.
Get ready to be part of this year’s Bollywood day as we take a virtual route – An online event with a 2-hour dance marathon comprising of 4 different Bollywood dance styles culminating with the Bollywood dance number of the day!
We will soon send out an instructional dance video for our Bollywood dance number and also announce some fun competitions and give out vouchers to the winners.
This is your chance to dress up, learn some new dance styles, and win prizes by participating in competitions. So watch this space for more updates!
Our goal is for people of all ages, groups, and ethnicity to dance together in the comfort of their homes! Let’s make it happen!
This Project is in part sponsored by the City of Austin Cultural Arts Division
Free Admission
