This series explores the state of being as a process of becoming. Open to all possible instances in the ground of experience, Being becomes happening. It unfolds through time as possibility. Almuelle, originally from Peru, has established her home in Austin working as a ceramicist. Addressing the functionality of the medium as well as its sculptural expression has been equally important for her. She has participated in shows in galleries, museums and art fairs with both pottery and sculpture. Almuelle’s solo show Journey was awarded “ Best Solo Show of the Year” by the Austin Critic Table Awards. Being will be on view August 1st to 22nd.
