ABOUT THE EVENT: Our first and most popular program is our Artist Showcase/Open Mic, which started in January 2019. Every second Wednesday of the month from 7-9 p.m., we host and curate a dynamic feature lineup of poets, musicians, storytellers and more — all from historically marginalized backgrounds — and an open mic where anyone is welcome to do anything (so long as it follows our community guidelines)! This series has been hosted at historical Austin spots such as Bookwoman, Monkeywrench Books, and now your living room on zoom 🙂 When it is safe to do in-person programming, we plan to switch to twitch and Santa Cruz Theater on Austin’s historic Eastside.

ABOUT INTERFACES: Interfaces is an Austin, Texas based community initiative that works to nurture and amplify marginalized artists through IDEA-conscious arts programming. Learn more at atxinterfaces.com.
