Join Interfaces’ first Artists On: Series cohort for a panel on how climate change and sustainability informs their artistic practice! Each artist will also share a piece of their work. A zoom link will be provided on our social media @atx_interfaces
ABOUT ARTISTS ON: Similar to the short-lived New York Times series, artists on will feature Austin-area artists teaching, performing, and talking about big topics that our society deals with every day. There is no way to extrapolate artistry from political and historical context, and we both recognize, and champion artists that are working within the intersections of social justice & art. We are kicking off this series in efforts to bring FREE arts education from local artists with historically marginalized backgrounds to the Austin-area. It is important that we #teachlivingartists, and that we drive home one point: education is for EVERYONE. We are proud that our first Artists On is in partnership with the City of Austin’s Office of Sustainability & Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department.
