Bottle Alley Theatre Company presents SELF PORTRAITS 2.5 – quarantine edition! Though this quarantine may be keeping us apart physically, we refuse to let it keep us apart artistically. Completely digital, same amount of chaos.

Self Portraits is an exercise in controlled chaos and self-expression. And honesty. So much honesty. Oftentimes an uncomfortable amount of honesty. Because when you paint a self portrait of yourself that’s what you have to be – honest with yourself and what you see. This is the spiritual followup to Self Portraits 2, six nights of anarchy at The Backpack two years ago.

We’ve asked some of our favorite actors and collaborators to film their pieces in isolation in order to present this completely digital version of the show. On opening night you’ll be sent a link to a YouTube playlist with all the pieces that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home.

On the checkout page you’ll see that tickets are donation based – we’re asking for $3 minimum but please donate whatever you can as 100% of the funds that we raise from this will be donated to those who really need it – primarily the Artists Emergency Relief Fund through Austin Creative Alliance, which seeks to assist Austin artists who have lost income due to the effects of this pandemic.
