Changing The Subject: The Women Artists of The Experimental Printmaking Institute

Presented by Women Printmakers of Austin at Bone Black Gallery and Studio

Founded in 1996 as part of Lafayette College in Easton, PA, the Experimental Printmaking Institute (EPI) has had a special emphasis on publishing minority artists. The results of these print collaborations have been included in many important collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Bone Black Gallery is proud to host an exhibition focusing on the Women artists of EPI including work by Francine K. Affourtit, Barbara Bullock, Nanette Carter, Elizabeth Catlett, Amaya Espinoza, Grace Hartigan, Robin Holder, Kumi Korf, Maryann Miller, Karima Muyeas, Faith Ringgold, Priscilla Romero and Kay WalkingStick. The exhibition will be on view from January 21st until February 14th. A talk will be given by EPI’s founder, Curlee Raven Holton, at 5pm on January 23rd, prior to the reception from 6-8pm.
