The Artisan Mercado©, a place where locals and tourists can shop in downtown Austin for unique, handcrafted Latino and cultural gifts, is held from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every first and third Saturday of the month through December. The marketplace is free and open to the public.

Fifty local artists and artisans are associated with the market and sell handmade goods from different regions of Mexico, Honduras, Colombia and the Southwest. Latino products include handcrafted jewelry and ceramics; and ethnic clothing and handbags; as well as paintings and drawings. This project is supported in part by the Cultural Arts Division of the City of Austin Economic Development Department, Mexic-Arte Museum and La Peňa, Inc.
