St. David’s Episcopal Church, 301 E. 8th St., will host the 5th annual St. David’s Downtown Posada on December 12th. The Posada commemorates Joseph and Mary’s journey to Bethlehem in search of shelter prior to the birth of Jesus.

The Posada will start at 6:30pm and will include a procession which will begin at the Labyrinth at 6:45 led by children, followed by adults and Mariachi Relampago. The procession will make its way around and through St. David’s Church, ending at Bethel Hall. Everyone is welcomed to then feast on food and refreshment, sing Christmas carols and join in traditional activiites such as the breaking of the piñata for treats.

Parking is free for the Posada in the St. David’s garage.

Though admission is free, contributions for Trinity Center are encouraged.
