Gilbert & Sullivan Austin presents its mid-season production, “A Day at the Savoy Theatre,” March 7 and 8 at Worley Barton Theater, 11908 N. Lamar Blvd. The performance includes fascinating stories about the theatre built to showcase the G&S operas along with favorite G&S melodies, followed by the Austin premiere of a rollicking musical comedy that premiered at the Savoy. The fascinating presentation explores the history and heyday of the grand old theatre, interspersed with vocal presentations by Amy Selby, Taylor Rawley, Patricia Combs, Reagan Murdock, and Julius Young. The same five singers will bring to life on the stage “Mr. Jericho” in its Austin debut.
