The Long Center presents HOOK 25th Anniversary Movie Party

Presented by The Long Center for the Performing Arts at The Long Center for the Performing Arts

The Long Center presents HOOK 25th Anniversary Movie Party, January 30 in Dell Hall.

“Rufio! Rufio! Ru-Fi-OOOOOOOOOOOOOh!”

That’s right, the Alamo Drafthouse is bringing the “lewd, crude, rude, bag of pre-chewed food dude” himself to the Long Center this January, and he’s bringing our favorite Lost Boy with him – Don’t Ask!

We know HOOK has gotten a bad rap in some camps over the years, but we don’t care because we believe in fairies and in fighting and in crowing and in flying and in the perfection of Robin Williams in the role of the adult Pan the Man, so the Alamo Drafthouse and the Long Center are joining forces and going all out with this ultimate HOOK fan event, which is going to feature:

A screening at the Long Center, Austin’s largest cinematic venue!
Second screen subtitles so you can Quote-Along with all of your favorite lines!
Pixie Stix to help you fly!
Inflatable swords so you can battle pirates!
Cell phones you can throw out the window when you realize you don’t want to be a grown up!
RUFIO (Dante Basco) and DON’T ASK (James Madio) LIVE IN PERSON!

We’ll have a live introduction with the Lost Boys, and an extended conversation and Q&A following the film so we can hear all about what it was like to film one of the biggest movies of the ’90s from the stars who lived it.

Have to fly, have to fight, have to crow, have to save Maggie, have to save Jack, HOOK is back!

BANGARANG!!
