The 19th Annual Austin Empty Bowl Project

The 19th Annual Austin Empty Bowl Project

Presented by Austin Empty Bowl Project at Unknown

The 19th Annual Austin Empty Bowl Project will be held, as always, the Sunday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 22nd, 2015, and the Marchesa Hall & Theatre at the Linc, across the street from the Highland Mall/ACC campus, from 11 a.m – 3 p.m. Select that perfect bowl from thousands of ceramic bowls, choose from some of the best soups in Austin, grab and roll and enjoy eating lunch while listening to live music. All proceeds benefit the children’s programs of Capital Area Food Bank and Meals on Wheels and More, providing hot evening meals and tutoring for Austin kids in need. There will also be a silent auction of celebrity signed bowls and special artist bowls and a chance to win Nancy Elder’s fabulous quilt featuring the Austin skyline and iconic Austin landmarks, including the Stevie Ray Vaughan statue, Congress Avenue bridge bats, the Capitol and Lady Bird Lake. Don’t want to wait in line? Want to enjoy some wine or beer with your soup? Hors d’oeuvres? Desserts? Door prizes? Come to the Preview Party! Nov. 21, 6 – 9 p.m. Tickets available online at www.austinemptybowl.org.
