Join us for an exclusive one night only screening of ‘Time is Art‘ at 8:30 pm at AMC Barton Creek Square 14.
The feature documentary, ‘Time is Art’, prepares for multi-city premiere and VOD release on 11/11/2015. Premieres will take place in select cities such as Austin, NYC & San Francisco via the Austin, TX based Tugg platform which allows indie filmmakers to crowdsource their film into theaters.
The film tells a personal story of creative and spiritual awakening of writer, Jennifer Palmer. A corporate IT specialist-turned-writer, she is compelled to make sense of the mysterious and powerful energy she felt at her aunt’s deathbed. A series of strange coincidences leads her on an exploration of synchronicity – the concept that all beings are interconnected, and that time is not so much a chronology as it is an infinite cycle. Considering herself something of a skeptic, Jennifer treads the fine line between nervous breakdown and ecstatic revelation as she seeks out guides in her search for answers. Together, they explore a reality where time is transformed from a unit that can be measured and commodified -“Time is money”- to an experience of oneness with the natural rhythms of nature and the universe. It is here that the writer discovers that time is, in fact, art.
Like the films Waking Life, Samsara, and Occupy Love, the viewer is taken on a journey through a beautiful tapestry of inquiry and meditation; awakening us to how interdependently connected to each other we really are.
In a recent article, Jacob Devaney via Uplift wrote “This film is a gem in the emerging conscious, independent media movement. Coming from the grass roots, they have a very exciting way for people to get involved by hosting local screenings in their community via the ingenious Tugg platform.”
