Austin Art in Public Places 30th Anniversary Party for the People

Presented by City of Austin Cultural Arts Division at Sand Beach Park

Austin Art in Public Places is celebrating 30 years of spectacular and surprising public art all around Austin!
Grab a friend and join us with some soon-to-be-announced special guests November 15, 2-4 pm, at one of our city’s most iconic public art pieces: Open Room Austin (which may be better known as the giant picnic table near the Seaholm Power Plant).

Just like all our public art in Austin, this event is free and open to the public! Fun for the entire family: find a spot at our pop-up party’s picnic table and grab a refreshment from participating local businesses, all while taking in a tune. We can’t wait to celebrate our big 3-0 with you!

For 30 years, AIPP has provided Austin with a unique identity that makes our town special. From Iron Wave to Solar Tree, AIPP has commissioned over 200 public art pieces – many which you’ve seen, but might not have realized it – in all 10 of Austin’s districts! AIPP’s mission to bring art to the people isn’t just a hope, it’s a reality.
