Saul Ravencraft performs a dramatic reading of A Christmas Carol in the style of Charles Dickens.
Back before mobile phones, and television, and even radio, people would gather round at Christmas to share ghostly tales, many which were written by Charles Dickens. His most famous one is, of course, A Christmas Carol, a timeless story of a miserly man’s journey from greed and bitterness to love and joy.
Dickens would travel from place to place, reading this story before Victorian audiences. Saul Ravencraft has obtained a copy of the text that Dickens personally edited and used during his performances and will bring all the characters to life in the same way that people experienced it more than 100 years ago.
