The 24th Annual Austin Powwow and American Indian Heritage Festival will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 9:00am to 10:00pm at the Toney Burger Center in Austin. This time honored event is the largest single day American Indian Powwow in the country. Programming includes Native American dancing, drumming, storytelling, native crafts, arts displays, and food vendors. Members representing nearly 80 different tribes from across the US and Canada will be in attendance and approximately 500 local and visiting artists and performers will be sharing their work. Ceremonial processions in the arena will occur at 10:00am, 1:00pm, and 6:00pm and dancers and drum groups will perform there throughout the day and evening. All ages are welcome at this family friendly gathering!
