Texas jazz musicians Alex Coke, Suzi Stern, Rich Harney and Evan Arredondo bring Dylan Thomas’ beloved holiday tale to life for two shows at First Presbyterian Church this December.

A seasonal favorite of Austin audiences for more than a decade, these four friends (and award winning musicians) herald the season with a live reading and concert of original songs and improvised music that sparkles with surprise, inspired by the author’s enchanting shortstory.

Like an old time radio hour, A Child’s Christmas In Wales features memorable songs from vocalist Stern and pianist Harney, with Arredondo on upright bass and improvisor extraordinaire Coke employing a dazzling array of woodwinds, toys, and sounds to wondrous effect.
