Louis Black, co-founder of The Austin Chronicle, co-founder of SXSW, partner in Production For Use and founding board member of the Austin Film Society, will celebrate his 65th birthday at the Palm Door on Sixth (508 E 6th Street) with proceeds benefiting the Health Alliance of Austin Musicians (HAAM). KUTX’s Jody Denberg, a long-time friend of Black’s, will be hosting the show. Doors open at 7:30pm, and a stellar roster of bands will begin at 8pm.
Suggested donation for admission is $10 with 100% going directly to HAAM. In addition, 20% of all bar sales will be donated to charity.
