October 9, 2015 (Austin, TX) – With unique retractable roofing panels, the Starlight room at the Oasis will offer natural celestial lighting to enjoy an intimate evening with Country Music Hall of Fame inductees The Oak Ridge Boys. This special evening will also host a silent auction that includes one-of-a-kind items like a Big and Rich autographed guitar, as well as admittance to the private after show party. The 6th Annual Be Brave event supports Heal in Comfort?a special shirt and recovery kit created especially for women who have undergone a mastectomy or breast surgery.
Heal in Comfort was started by Cherie B. Mathews, after her own battle with breast cancer. Mathews is now a 12-year survivor, and designed the shirt based on what she wished she had had during her surgery recovery. She also created a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization that provides these shirts to breast cancer patients as a gift to speed their recovery.
The benefit for healincomfort4achange.org will help breast cancer warriors from around the nation heal in comfort and dignity by providing them with specialized post-operative recovery healincomfort shirts. Shirts are provided free to any Austin resident.
