Presented by City of Austin Small Business Development Program at Entrepreneur Center of Austin

MUST REGISTER!

You don’t need a lawyer to learn about the U.S. product safety requirements for your new children’s and other consumer products. Join expert U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) Small Business Ombudsman Neal S. Cohen who will explain how to meet these mandatory requirements in non-legal, plain English in a lively and engaging session. He will be happy to answer all of your questions and to look at any product samples that you wish to bring along. By attending, you can expect to gain an understanding of how the federal government regulates manufacturers, importers, distributors, and retailers of toys, jewelry, clothing, children’s sleepwear, electronic and many other consumer products. You will also learn about how to deal with the CPSC in the event of a potential regulatory problem at import or a potential product recall, including best practices and common pitfalls.
