A concert examining the impact great artists had on the international music scene upon their monumental arrivals.
ACMC honors the great movers and shakers of classical chamber music who celebrate big birthdays in 2019–2020 during their 39th season, Tribute. September’s opening weekend will celebrate Clara Schumann’s 200th birthday while examining the impact of great artists on the international music scene. The program includes Schumann’s Piano Trio and Brahms’s Piano Trio No. 8. Throughout the season, ACMC will celebrate Beethoven’s 250th birthday by featuring each of his cello sonatas; the September program will include his Cello Sonata No. 1.
Performing during opening weekend is the award-winning Schumann Chamber Players trio: violinist Sandy Yamamoto, cellist Amy Levine-Tsang, and pianist Michelle Schumann.
Tickets available online or at the door. Friday night is sold out.
