Mark your calendars for the second event of the Beerthoven Concert Series’ 2015-2016 Season!
On Sunday, November 22nd at 3pm, Soprano Erika Wuerzner and Baritone David Small will present a program of solo art songs, duets, and beer! Ms. Wuerzner, a University of Texas Alumna, was the winner in her district of the 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. She’ll be joined by Professor David Small of the University of Texas, known for performing Figaro in Il barbiere di Siviglia well over 100 times, charming opera audiences throughout the United States, France and Spain. Programming will also include Weber’s Concertino for Clarinet and Schubert’s “Der Hirt auf dem Felsen” (“The Shepherd on a Rock”) with clarinetist Nick Galuban. These artists will be accompanied by pianist and Beerthoven Artistic Director Daniel Swayze.
