A mixed-media presentation marrying filmed interviews with World War II survivors and live, multi-form dance!
Of Thee I Swing is Early Era Collective’s first show of the season, and most ambitious project yet! Their performance combines filmed interviews with five World War II survivors – both veterans and civilians – and live dance. In this work, Early Era Collective honors our oldest living generation, artistically illustrate their stories, and share their wisdom for a divided time.
There will be song, swing, animation, contemporary, hip-hop, and 1940s garb. This evening-length piece will be presented at Wright Bros. Brew & Brew in Austin, Texas from Friday, September 27th to Sunday, September 29th.
