ON SEPTEMBER 8th, 2019, Project ATX6 will announce the 2019 ATX6 musicians at Waterloo Records (600 N. Lamar Blvd) in downtown Austin, Texas. These 6 musicians (3 men and 3 women) will be revealed on Sunday. Each year, six new musicians are chosen to represent Austin’s eclectic music culture at international music festivals. This year’s ATX6 will be traveling to music festivals in Canada, The United Kingdom, and Europe. Laurie Gallardo (KUTX 98.9 FM) will be on hand as our host for the event and reveal the new six musicians. Project Director Chris Brecht will reveal the international music festivals that this group will be traveling to. This exciting event will be the first chance for Austin music fans alike to meet with the musicians. Over the next several months, these musicians will also perform several local events at a variety of creatives spaces and live music venues all over Austin.  As part of Project ATX6, they will experience the opportunity to collaborate with international musicians, work with industry professionals, travel by train to festival performances, and explore their own talents as part of this unique documentary experience.
