The 2-day Texas Music Museum’s 9th International Music Festival features Texas artists who perform authentic international music and dance to promote appreciation of music/traditions from many cultures that are now part of Texas.
WHAT: TEXAS MUSIC MUSEUM’S 9th International Music Festival features a diverse set of accomplished Texas artists who perform authentic international–specific song, music and dance to promote appreciation of music and traditions from many cultures that are now part of the Austin and Texas ethnic fabric, including Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, the Indian sub-continent, Latin/Central/South Americas, and the Middle East.

WHERE: Presented at, and in collaboration with, the GEORGE WASHINGTON CARVER MUSEUM, CULTURAL, AND GENEALOGY CENTER, 1165 Angelina Street, Austin.
ORGANIZATION: The Texas Music Museum (TMM) is a nonprofit organization CELEBRATING 35 YEARS of collecting and preserving artifacts, documents and reference material relevant to the numerous traditions of Texas music. TMM utilizes these collections for presentation of exhibits, programs, the annual International Music Festival and other performances which all celebrate the diversity of Texas music. TMM is an all-volunteer organization, supported by individual donations and in part by the City of Austin’s Cultural Arts Division. There is no fee to visit our museum or to attend our programs, but donations are greatly appreciated.
Texas Music Museum is located at 1009 East 11th St., Austin, TX(6 blocks east of the State Capital building). This is the site of our Exhibit Galleries, but the festival is held off-site at the George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural, and Genealogy Center, address provided above.
