Local filmmaker Stephen Belyeu offers a rare sneak peak at the early visual development and special effects tests for his upcoming indie sci-fi, THE FATHER.

Belyeu will present the 6 minute make-up test shoot, shot on 16mm, with make up work by Benjamin Ploughman (current contestant on SyFy Channel’s Face/Off). Following this screning, Belyeu will present the concept art and visual development that has occured since completing this initial make up test.  Belyeu will then take part in a Q&A to discuss why he decided to tackle an ambitious sci-fi for his 2nd feature film, the challenges he’s faced and may still face, and how he’s utilized alternative fund sources such as crowdfunding and grants to help him pursue this ambitious new project.
