On Water is a solo exhibition by Elizabeth Chiles and includes two bodies of work: one made during the historic flooding along the Colorado River in Austin in the fall of 2018, the other, Figs from Thistles, made in 2013 during the worst drought in Texas in over a century. The two bodies of work reveal how water – or the lack thereof – has the ability to shape our surrounding landscape.
