Fabio Saavedra: Opening Reception

Fabio Saavedra: Opening Reception

Presented by La Peña at La Peña

“I only see the things I love. I have been doing the things I love in the same 400 sq/f space that I love for 18 years, painting and building some sculptures using discarded tree branches and bamboo.

I have enjoyed drawing and painting since I was a child. On my second or third semester at San Jacinto Jr. College in Pasadena, Texas. Mr Brown and two other professors let me know that I was a painter. I believed them and I have been walking on this field since that semester in 1967.

With the proper respects for the masters, ‘Anch’io son’pittore’”

— Fabio Saavedra
